Database of the month: Altmetric Explorer

Which newspapers and blogs write about your publication? Who shares your research online – are they possible collaboration partners or stakeholders? Which policy documents cite your research? Altmetric Explorer helps you answering these kind of questions.

Altmetrics (alternative metrics) are an alternative for or complenatary to traditional citation impact metrics. Altmetrics especially capture online attentions – how has research been shared, discussed and reused online, for example on Twitter, in scholarly blogs or policy documents, in newspapers. In Altmetric Explorer you can collect and analyse this data in a structured way.
