The library will be lighter, more spacious and transparant. With 900 modern study places and a clear entrance of its own on the Institutenlaan. A University Library worthy of the new campus, with facilities perfectly matching present-day ways of studying and working. For the renovation there is a co-operation with combinatie ABT– jefvandenputte architectuur, Campus under Construction, the University Library and Erasmus Facility Services.
The renovation will start in September 2015 and will last until December 2016. In order to continue our service during this period, the Library will temporarily be located elsewhere on campus (Polak and V building). The renewed University Library will open its doors in February 2017.
