Extension of the FP7 Post-Grant Open Access Pilot

Verlenging FP7 Post-Grant Open Access Pilot

The European Commission will continue to provide funding for Open Access articles from FP7 projects until February 2018.

Often costs are charged by publishers for open access publishing (the Publication Fee or Article Processing Charge - APC). For articles from the FP7-programme reimbursment might be possible.

The European Commission’s pilot project for funding Open Access articles from completed FP7 projects is being extended until 28 February 2018. You can still apply for the reimbursement of Open Access publication fees up to EUR 2,000 on the

Seventh Framework Programme (FP7)

The FP7 of OpenAire reimburses the following open access publications (after the project has finished):

  • Articles in a full open access journal
  • Open access books

Please note: the publication fees are refunded up to two years after the end of the project and there is a maximum of three publications per project.
