Prof. Hein Klemann, Prof. Ben Wubs and an international delegation will visit 'The Yangtze River and the Rhine Exchanges between Chinese and Foreign Scholars'. During this conference, the Rhine and the Yangtze will be compared from various perspectives.
In order to promote international exchange and cooperation in the field of cultural and academic research, the China International Culture Association and Fudan University will hold 'The Yangtze River and the Rhine Exchanges between Chinese and Foreign Scholars' from October 25 to October 31, 2017, in Shanghai.
The event will be organized by:

- the Kunshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV, Film, Press and Publication
Some 30 scholars will present papers to compare the river Rhine and the Yangtze from various perspectives. Prof. Klemann will present a paper on the Central Committee of the Rhine and Prof. Wubs will introduce a long-term historical project on the history of the Rhine economy. After a three days conference a field trip is organised by the Chinese hosts to Kunshan, Suzhou, and Wuxi.
