'Social Justice for Children and Youth in East Africa' A Special Issue of Childhood in Africa

Childhood in Africa: an Interdisciplinary Journal is an open access peer reviewed Journal that specifically focesses on issues related to children in Africa. It was created to harbour a free exchange of ideas and knowledge between African scholars and scholars all around the world.
Two ISS staff members, Kristen Cheney and Auma Okwany, edited the most recent issue of Childhood in Africa (the 2017 Spring Issue). This Issue is one of several research outputs from a five year research project titled 'Mainstreaming and Strengthening the Social Component in the Justice, Law and Order SEctor in Uganda' which was implemented in close cooperation with Nzamisi Training Institute of Social Development which was funded by the Dutch NICHE programme.
