Students nominated for ECHO Awards

Students nominated for Echo Awards

Students Sadaf Soloukey and Ramoe Jagesar have been nominated for the ECHO Awards 2018. This prize is awarded to successful students from a non-western background who have a positive impact on society and manage to bridge gaps.

After the final they will become an ambassador for the organisation, that aims to improve diversity and inclusion. If they win it, they get to follow a summer course at UCLA!

To achieve this, they will have to bring their top game to the grand final month, where they pitch their plans to a critical jury. We met up with them to talk about their plans and to see if their pitches are sharp. And we asked them: are such prizes still necessary in 2018?
