Sun Yat-Sen University visited Erasmus University Rotterdam
On 8th May, a delegation from Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), led by Prof. LUO Jun (President) visited the EUR. The delegation consists of 5 members from management team, 4 members from Medical School, 3 members from School of Governance, 2 members from Business & Management and 1 member from School of Physics.
The purpose of their visit is to strengthen cooperation between two universities, specifically in Health & Life Science and Economics & Business Management. Our President Ms. Kristel Baele had a meeting with the delegation. Maintaining the good relationship and exploring the future cooperation were the main points of attention in the meeting.
SYSU was founded in 1924 by Dr. Sun Yat-sen (also called Sun Zhong-shan). The University is under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education of China and is one of the leading universities in China (top 10) with 55 schools and departments, 8 affiliated hospitals, 35 teaching hospitals, 11 local academies and 20 national research institutions.
SYSU and the EUR have both academic and educational cooperation in the past years. Currently, there are three Agreements signed at School level:
- Lingnan College signed with RSM since 2013
- School of Governance signed with IHS since 2014
- Cancer Center signed an agreement with EMC since 2015
