Update Web of Science – March 2018
The March 2018 update of Web of Science includes a redesign of the Analyze Results feature. The new sorting ability makes it easier to use the Cited Reference Search.
The Analyze Results feature in Web of Science gives you an overview of the authors, journals, funding agencies, organizations, etc., in your results sets. This makes it easy to identify the most productive authors or the journals that publish the most about your topic. The redesigned Analyze Results feature contains visualization options: you can create a treemap or a bar graph of up to 25 results. Under the visualization, you find the table view with all data and details.
Cited Reference Search
The Cited Reference Search allows you to search the reference lists of the publications in Web of Science. This can be useful when you are looking for articles citing a classical book. The search functionality has been improved: the list of results can now be sorted, making it easier to find all relevant cited references and their variants. You can also export the results to Excel.
In the online module Research Impacts on the Training & Support portal, you can find extra information about finding citing articles in Web of Science
