Visit by Professor Bernardo Fernandes to ISS
ISS is honoured to host a visit by Professor Bernardo Fernandes of the Sao Paulo State University (UNESP).
Professor Fernandes will be at ISS in March in order to co-edit a volume of studies on global production systems and labour with the ISS Governance of Labour and Logistics for Sustainability (GOLLS) research team and project (following an international seminar held in Sao Paulo in late 2016).
Professor Fernandes is an important contributor to international research and debate on rural development, small scale farmers and the impacts of global processes, themes which are also of great importance at ISS.
He holds the important position of UNESCO Chair in Territorial Development and Education for the Countryside (a recent innovative Masters Degree held at Via Campesina).
