(Damion) DJ Bunders, MSc

Biography

Damion Bunders is a postdoctoral researcher at the Movez Lab, Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, where he studies social media content creators as a form of platform work.

With a background in sociology and human geography, his research interests span the interplay of social actors, institutions, and new technologies. Some of his previous research was about the relation between adolescents' online/offline social networks and delinquent behaviour, and about smart city governance in the Netherlands and Hungary. In his PhD project, at the Rotterdam School of Management, Damion investigated the challenges that gig workers face when organising themselves in a cooperative enterprise by analysing the conditions under which platform cooperatives can become resilient.
