Ilona van Breugel is an external researcher at the Department of Public Administration and Sociology of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Ilona's PhD Mainstreaming Integration Governance: Proxies and Taboos in a Contested Policy Context focuses on local migration diversity governance.
Ilona previously workerd on the European Volpower research project on youth volunteering and community building. Furthermore, she worked as a coordinator and lecturer for the 'Governance of Migration and Diversity' master program and as a researcher and coordinator for the UPSTREAM-project, a European comparative study on mainstreaming of integration governance.
