Profile
Lotte Vestjens - van der Mee is an Assistant Professor at the department of Socio-Medical Sciences of Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management. She holds a Master degree in Health Sciences from Maastricht University (Research Master; cum laude) and a doctorate from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her main field of expertise is (integrated) care for older people. In her studies, she focusses on quality of care, self-management and well-being of (frail) older persons, and co-creation of care between patients and healthcare professionals. Lotte has experience with the evaluation of large-scale, complex healthcare interventions. She was involved in the implementation and evaluation of the integrated primary care program Finding and Follow-up of Frail older persons (Vroegsignalering Kwetsbare Ouderen en Opvolging). In addition, Lotte taught various courses, such as quality and efficiency in healthcare. Currently, she is the coordinator of the course Patient-Centered Care Delivery in the Master program Healthcare Management, and she supervises Master theses.
