Marina is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer in the Department of Media and Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam. In the context of a Horizon 2020 project coordinated by Dr. Jason Pridmore, she conducts research on Trustworthy, Reliable, and Engaging Social Science Communication Approaches (TRESCA). In her research, Marina integrates sociological theories and psychological mechanisms.

Marina obtained her BSc in Psychology (cum laude) from Tilburg University in 2013 and her MSc in Social Psychology (cum laude) from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2015.

Her interdisciplinary background is well-reflected in her scholarly output. To date, her work has been published in leading international journals in the fields of psychology and social sciences, such as Social Science Research, Social Psychology Quarterly, Journal of Urban Affairs, Hormones and Behavior, and Migration Studies.
