Profile
Türkan Ertuna Lagrand obtained her law degree from the Law Faculty of Ankara University and her LL.M. degree from the Erasmus University Rotterdam on International Business and Trade Law. She worked at the White & Case LLP in Ankara until her registration in the Ankara Bar as an attorney. In September 2004 she moved to the Netherlands to write her Ph.D. thesis on European Immigration Law at the European Law Department of the Erasmus University School of Law where she also taught EU Law courses. Upon defending her Ph.D. thesis in 2010, she worked for a year at The Hague Process on Refugees and Migration. The following year she moved to Brussels and from 2011 to 2017 she worked at the European Parliament as a foreign policy advisor. Since February 2017 she works at the Erasmus University College.
