Dr. R. (Renske) Keizer (ESSB)

Family sociologist Renske Keizer (Odoorn 1983) is assistant professor at the department of Sociology. Her research interests are parenthood, gender inequality, and dynamics in partner relationships. She is currently involved in two projects on fatherhood. The first, “Understanding paternal involvement: a longitudinal and dyadic perspective”, has been rewarded with a VENI-award. The second project focuses on the influence of father involvement for children’s behavior and well-being. For this project, Renske received an EUR-fellowship. Renske is involved in the international Nonmarital Childbearing Network, in which she investigates the influence of institutional context on parenthood. Renske is a board member of the Dutch Sociological Association, and chair of the Programme Committee of the Sociology department.
