Student International Bachelor History

For me, history had always been something I was very interested in. Nevertheless, choosing what program of study to start after secondary school was quite a difficult decision to make. In the end, I chose to study something I knew would make me happy. After the first year, I do not regret making that decision at all. In the first year of the International Bachelor History, there is a strong focus on improving your writing and presenting skills. There is often a lot of freedom to incorporate topics that interest you into the assignments you have to make. What makes studying history at Erasmus University particularly interesting is the strong focus on modernity and its international orientation. This makes it easier to connect the past to developments in our world today which in turn makes this study extra relevant.

Understand your own place in today's world

Studying history will enable you to look at things from different perspectives and will help you understand your own place in today’s world. It will make you realise that there is so much more to history than might seem at first and this will only make you want to learn more. Therefore I would recommend this program of study to anyone who is interested in deepening his knowledge about the world and broadening his worldview.
