Younes Assou

Hello everyone! My name is Younes Assou and I am 22 years old. I am currently studying Business Administration, Econometrics and Tax law. My hobbies include Muay Thai, boxing and football. Besides being a member of Erasmus University Council, I am also the chair of B&R investment group Quants of Minerva.

I joined the Erasmus University Council in September 2019 to build a community for students that shares the pride of Erasmus University, and not just for their faculties.

Furthermore, I am also in the working group for the new cooperation between Erasmus University Rotterdam, Erasmus Medical Center and TU Delft (EUR-EMC-TUD). EUR-EMC-TUD working group is a mini-group within the council which discusses topics on an informal matter in a more regular manner. The working group’s focus is to answer the question: ‘To what extent can we combine the three disciplines: medicine, technology and social sciences?’ My task here is to be the voice of the students and making sure it is heard!

At last, the most important and interesting points that I am focusing on are:
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Curved Grading
- Recording Lectures

By fulfilling these three points, Erasmus University will become a better place. I am 100% sure that these agenda points will lead to less stress and a better atmosphere for the current and future students of Erasmus University.

What I want to leave behind before I graduate? A place where students can say ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy!’.
