Drupal and content management - the basics

Are you the new editor for our website or for MyEUR? Or does your work involve publishing news and events online? If so, you must first take this Drupal and content management basic training session to gain access to the system. This training session will not only teach you to work with the Drupal content management system, but also the basics of content strategy, copywriting, SEO and more. Please note: to take this training session, you should first have the agreement of the senior editor of your unit

By participating in this training session, you will soon be performing the following editor’s tasks:

  • Work in Drupal on a daily basis
  • Use the tools (for instance the guidelines content creation)
  • Keep on developing after the Drupal training, for instance by following professional trainings

You preferably have an affinity with

  • copywriting
  • using images
  • writing copy in English at C1 level
  • creating webpages

Objective and outcome

You will have a basic knowledge of content management:

  • The most effective way of placing information online for your target groups
  • You will receive pointers on writing for web and mobile devices
  • You will have learned how to use images and work with image rights
  • You will have learned the basics of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • You have experience creating content in Drupal (such as articles, news items, FAQ or events) on a PC

After attending the course, functional management will create a profile for you in the system Drupal and your senior editor can assign your authorisations in the group of your faculty or organisational unit.
