Erasmus University Rotterdam strives to achieve academic excellence. This results in high positions in the international university rankings.

Rankings indicate how a university performs in comparison to other universities and are therefore very important. Each ranking uses its own methods and weighting factors. Roughly speaking rankings can be subdivided into research rankings and education rankings.

National Student Survey

Erasmus University participates in the National Student Survey, performed by Stichting Studiekeuze123. This is a national survey which measures student satisfaction from all students in Dutch higher education. Indicators are satisfaction about the education programme, the university, study facilities and the city.

2017
Overall student satisfaction on programs (on a scale from 1 to 5) remains at an average score of 4.08. Students at Erasmus University Rotterdam are positive about group size / class and internship experience. Erasmus University Rotterdam scores above the national average on the newly added topic “Internationalisation”

Keuzegids Hoger Onderwijs 

 

 

The Centre for Information in Higher Education (Centrum voor Hoger Onderwijs Informatie CHOI) yearly publishes a guide for prospective students; the Keuzegids. It contains both a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the bachelor and master programmes offered by Dutch higher education institutes. Scores are based on the National Student Survey and accreditation reports from the Netherlands Flanders Accreditation Organisation (Nederlandse Vlaamse Accreditatie Organisatie - NVAO).

Erasmus University Rotterdam surveys alumni to better understand employment outcomes and evaluation of Master graduates about their education at EUR. This survey is commissioned by the VSNU - Association of universities in the Netherlands. VSNU reports every two year.
