This style guide contains a list of guidelines for employees of Erasmus University Rotterdam who write texts for publications, and for EUR’s website. The guidelines are arranged in alphabetical order. Uniformity of style, and particularly correct spelling and the proper use of names and abbreviations, enhances the organisation’s image of professionalism and quality.
The guidelines are based on the following sources: Nuffic Glossary and Collins Dictionary (2005 edition). At Erasmus University Rotterdam, we use British English only.
