Double Degree BSc² Econometrics and Economics

On this page you can find all information regarding the admission requirements, selection criteria and application procedure.

Admission and selection procedure

The application procedure consists of two steps; Studielink and the EUR Applications Portal. When your application has been received, it will be determined whether your secondary school diploma is sufficient for being admissible to the Double Degree BSc² Econometrics/Economics programme or if you have any deficiencies. Once it is confirmed that you are admissible, your application will be reviewed by the Selection Committee who will decide whether you are offered a place in the double degree programme. Our Programme Board aims for an international classroom with a good balance of different nationalities and educational background. By clicking on one of the yellow buttons below, you can read more detailed information on the admission requirements and selection criteria which apply to you. Completing the application procedure is possible between 1 November 2017 and 1 April */ 1 May 2018.

Rolling admission

Rolling admission is applied by the Selection Committee; each applicant is reviewed individually and will receive feedback on his/her application within six weeks after submitting the application. This means that during the entire application period, which runs from 1 November until 1 April*/ 1 May the Committee keeps track of the number of students who are offered a place in the Double Degree BSc² Econometrics/Economics programme and their nationality as well as educational background in order to preserve the international character of the programme.

What does this mean to you? It means that the sooner you apply, the sooner you will hear the outcome of your application. This way you avoid the risk that already too many applicants with similar background have been offered a place in the Double Degree BSc² Econometrics/Economics. In addition, receiving early feedback on your application means you can start preparing your studies in Rotterdam earlier; housing, immigration procedures, scholarships, etcetera.

Note: the BSc2 programme means you will study two 3-year programmes in 4 years. For Dutch students this is important to realise, as you will have an enrolment for two 3-year bachelor programmes which means you will only be able to use services of DUO for a duration of 3 years.

*The 1st April deadline applies to students who apply with a non-European passport and therefore require a Dutch residence permit, as this process takes a little more time. For more information on residence permits and the related requirements, please visit the website.
