The Erasmus School of Economics offers you the opportunity to do an internship in the third year of your bachelor programme. This is an excellent way of acquiring some practical experience and could give you a head start once you are graduated.
Conditions differ per programme, but there are internship opportunities within every programme. During your internship you will apply your academic skills and knowledge in a professional environment. You will be guided academically by the ESE and practically by the company which offers you the placement. To get you started, numerous placement opportunities will be published via various channels and there are several organisations and study associations that can help you to find a challenging internship.
Marketing internship at Omega Pharma
Student Economics and Business Economics
Due to the fact that I had to follow only one more course of my curriculum at the Bachelor course of Economics and Business Economics, I decided to fill that spare time helpful and do an internship at the pharmaceutical company Omega Pharma.
Beside that I also wanted to discover if the master which I had in mind (Marketing) would meet my expectations, by experiencing the field in practice.
During my internship period of half a year I supported the marketing activities around the (multi) vitamin brand Davitamon. I was well supervised and involved in all brand related activities. This period was quite educational, because by following such an internship you get the opportunity to learn how a marketing department operates in practice.
I can recommend everyone to do an internship during your Bachelor programme, because it contributes to you personal development and your CV.
