Workshop The Econometric Analysis of Recurrent Events in Macroeconomics and Finance

Date: Friday, 13 June 2014

Workshop Program

The business cycle feature of repeated patterns of recessions and expansions around economic trending variables with occasional steeper declines and faster recoveries is a permanent topic of empirical econometric research with important policy implications. At the one day conference held at the Econometric and Tinbergen Institute of Erasmus School of Economics, this topic will be discussed and analyzed by a group of leading international researchers in the field. The conference is held at the end of the Annual Econometric and Tinbergen Institute Lectures, sponsored by Princeton University Press. The workshop is intended as a meeting place for theoretical and applied researchers in academia and professional organizations who work on the theme of the conference.
