The Erasmus School of Economics consists of four departments, each of which covers its own specific area with in the field of Economics.

Department of Economics

The Economics department in Rotterdam has a long tradition in approaching topical issues or problems in an analytical way.

Department of Business Economics

The Department of Business Economics consists of three sections: section Accounting, Auditing and Control, Finance and Marketing. The research programme of the Department of Business Economics is rigorous but also practice-oriented and highly relevant to society. Some of our faculty hold top positions in the business sector.

Department of Econometrics

The mission of the department of Econometrics (and of the Econometric Institute) is to provide students with high quality educational programmes in Econometrics & Management Science and Economics & Informatics, and to enable the faculty to do fundamental and applied research in econometrics, management science and related fields.

Department of Applied Economics

The department of Applied Economics consists of several disciplines within the field of Economics: Behavioral Economics, Health Economics, Organisation, Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Regional, Port and Transport Economics The departmnet aims to provide education, to conduct research and to provide services for the society in these fields.
