Apostolos has been working since June 2009 as Junior Research Fellow at the Institute for Medical Technology Assessment (iMTA) of Erasmus University Rotterdam. The main research project he is currently involved in is related to the economic evaluation of various disease management programs in The Netherlands. Apostolos is expected to obtain a PhD based on this research in 2013. Prior to his current position, Apostolos worked as consultant at APE, a public economics consultancy located in The Hague. Apostolos’ work in APE was related to health economics as well as to disability and employment policies. Apostolos completed his degree in Healthcare Management in Greece by doing a 6 months placement at the Academic Hospital Maastricht, The Netherlands. He also obtained a MSc in Health Economics Policy and Management of the Maastricht University and holds a MSc in Financial Economics of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. His main research interests are related to economic evaluation and reimbursement of innovations in health care, decision management tools in hospitals, and consumer preferences for health services.
