Erasmus School of Law hosts Conference EU-China BIT
With the implementation of the One Belt One Road strategy, the case numbers of investor-state arbitration relating to China are expected to grow in the years to come. How will China react to this? Will the EU treat China equally as Canada to reach a CETA-like CAI? And is there any chance for the EU-China CAI to bring further the notion of an international investment court?
Erasmus School of Law will hold the conference: ‘EU-China Bilateral Investment Treaty Negotiations: A Focus on Investment-State Dispute Settlement’ on Thursday, 19 April 2018, at the Woudestein campus of Erasmus University Rotterdam. Distinguished experts from China, Brussels, and other European countries will address the key contentious issues, such as market access, SOEs, international investment court.
