Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity
The EUR Initiative ‘Dynamics of Inclusive Prosperity’ focuses on enabling as many people as possible to benefit from increasing prosperity, whilst minimising the negative consequences. Increased prosperity requires constant coordination of the changing needs and values of governments, businesses, citizens and entrepreneurs. In order to chart this dynamic field, scholars from Erasmus School of Law, Rotterdam School of Management and the Erasmus School of Philosophy have established a multidisciplinary partnership.
Public and Private Interests: a New Balance
Driven by its ambition to expand its position as a leading research institute in Europe, Erasmus School of Law has developed a new cross-disciplinary research initiative, Public Interests in Private Relationships, within the framework of the national wide sectoral plan for legal science and the accompanying financing by the Dutch government. Within this new research initiative, the role of private actors, in particular businesses, in safeguarding public interests will be studied in eleven PhD and three postdoctoral projects. Constituting one of the principle research fields identified in the sectoral plan for legal science, Erasmus School of Law is collaborating with the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen, which has also committed itself to this field of research.
