Erasmus Graduate School of Law (EGSL) has four openings for the position of: PhD researcher in Law or Criminology (M/F 1.0 FTE, start in September 2017).We are looking for PhD researchers who will perform excellent research in Law or Criminology in connection with one of the research themes pursued by Erasmus School of Law. This is an open application round, in which candidates are selected on the basis of their professional qualification, the letter of motivation, the quality of their own research proposal, and the extent to which this fits with the research profile of ESL.

Erasmus School of Law participates in the European Doctorate in Law and Economics, a joint doctoral programme by four of the leading European universities: Bologna, Hamburg, Rotterdam and Haifa. EDLE has 6-7 scholarships available, starting October 2019, application deadline 1 February 2019. All complete applications are taken into consideration for the EDLE programme. Please note that after the deadline of 1 February 2019 the EDLE Joint Selection Committee will select the candidates and the EDLE board (not the applicant!) will assign the home university and supervisors. A Junior Fellowship is intended to offer a PhD researcher from abroad an opportunity to pursue his or her research in the academic research environment at Erasmus School of Law. Taking part in this Junior Fellowship is a great opportunity for foreign PhD researchers to broaden their network, participate in a research programme at Erasmus School of Law and follow advanced research courses offered by EGSL.
