Astrid Molenveld is assistant professor at the Department of Public Administration of the Erasmus University Rotterdam and University of Antwerp. Astrid obtained her PhD in social and political science in June 2016, from the KU Leuven and University of Antwerp. In the thesis she studied the determinants explaining coordination and ‘organisational adaptation’ of cross-cutting policy programs. Substantively, she focused on different policy issues, among others: Integrated Youth Care, budget cuts within the government, and administrative simplification.

Astrid Molenveld is assistant professor at the Department of Public Administration of the Erasmus University Rotterdam and University of Antwerp. Next to research, Astrid is regularly involved in policy advice and training of civil servants, including: evaluations, collaborative governance arrangements, (‘wicked’) cross-cutting policy issues and instruments one can use to organize, engage and coordinate cross-cutting collaborative networks.  She has a particular interest in applying multiple research-methods in her work, like Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA), Q-methodology and statistics. Her current research activities include comparative research on coordination and collaborative governance, with a special focus on cross-cutting and 'wicked'  policy issues, and community self-organization in the health, youth and welfare sector.
