Ilona van Breugel is an academic researcher at the Department of Public Administration and Sociology of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Ilona's PhD research focuses on local migration diversity governance. Currently she furthermore works on the European Volpower research project on youth volunteering and community building.
Ilona previously worked as a coordinator and lecturer for the 'Governance of Migration and Diversity' master program and as a researcher and coordinator for the UPSTREAM-project, a European comparative study on mainstreaming of integration governance.
