Lars Tummers is an Associate Professor in Public Administration at Erasmus University and a Research Fellow at Arizona State. For the full academic year 2013-2014, he worked as a Visiting Scholar at Berkeley.

He studies leadership and management in public organizations. Furthermore, he studies combines psychology and public administration to develop a new research field: behavioral public administration. 

He received various grants and awards, such as a NWO VENI, an EU FP7 Marie Curie Grant and the Erasmus University Research Prize for excellence in research.
