This specialisation in Health Economics is a joint venture between the Erasmus School of Economics and Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management. The latter is one of the leading centres in the world for health economics research and training. It is aimed at students with a basic training in economics who wish to specialise in health economics. In this monodisciplinary programme in which you will focus on acquiring in-depth knowledge of the concepts and tools for economic analysis of healthcare systems.

Health Economics is a relatively young and rapidly expanding branch of economics. It analyses efficiency, equity and the incentives for patients, healthcare providers, insurers and other actors. There is a strong demand for healthcare analysts with an economic background.
