EUR Policy Scientific Integrity

Erasmus University Rotterdam established a general code of conduct for its staff and students in 2002.

This code contains three key values: professionalism, teamwork and fair play. With these key values, we give direction to the desired conduct of our staff and students. In addition, the code gives the university staff and students the scope to demand accountability from each other with regard to their responsibilities.

The Erasmus University endorses the The Netherlands Code of Conduct for Scientific Practice of the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU).

The Executive Board of the Erasmus University installed a Taskforce to advise on the steps to be taken to foster scientific integrity. The report of the Taskforce  has been adopted.

The Erasmus University developed a game focused on scientific integrity. Also, a Coordinator Scientific Integrity has been appointed to implement a series of actions supporting scientific integrity.
