Current facets (Pre-Master)
I hope that, with my future job, I can change the world or the behaviour of people in a positive way.
"Before I started with the International Bachelor History, I studied Criminology at the Erasmus School of Law. I had a great three years, however, the masters I was interested in all had to do with history, furthermore, I felt that I was not quite ready for a master’s degree. I was always really interested in history throughout highschool, that is why I decided to look into it. Now I am studying history and I can say that I am so happy with my decision."
"Firstly I chose to study History in Rotterdam because I love the city and all the cool things you can do here. Secondly, I wanted to have a degree that focusses on modern history. Thirdly, it spoke to me that the degree is taught in English, which improves your skills and means that you’ll have way more job opportunities. A fourth reason is that I got the chance to improve my writing and presentation skills, which is really useful. The last reason that persuaded me is the fact that you can give your own twist to the study by choosing different courses and making a choice in the third year between going on an exchange, doing an internship or focussing on becoming a teacher. It is important to make your own decisions and ‘personalise’ your degree, this gives direction and a focus to the topics you like and what you stand for."
Change the world
"After finishing this degree I would love to see more of the world. And eventually, after doing a master degree, get an international orientated career. My ambitions are widespread, but I hope that, with my future job, I can change the world or the behaviour of people in a positive way."
