Current facets (Pre-Master)
In the master History I found everything I was looking for: a combination of history and international relations as well as an international environment.
“After my bachelor in History at Erasmus University I went looking for the next step in my study: a master. I had had a good experience with Erasmus during my bachelor, so I didn’t have to look that hard. In the master History I found everything I was looking for: a combination of history and international relations as well as an international environment.”
“After finishing my master, it took me a while to find a job. I had some jobs, but no permanent ones. That was one of the reasons that I chose to follow a new master to get my teaching degree. A year after I finished that second master, I found my first permanent job. Nowadays, I have multiple jobs. I work part-time as a History Teacher at Erasmiaans Gymnasium in Rotterdam and I am also working as a Museum Teacher at the Tax & Customs Museum. Besides that I work as a DJ on the weekends. I also have not given up the hope yet for a job that is more focused on international relations.”
“I look back with a smile on my period as a master student at Erasmus University. I got to meet a lot of inspiring teachers and students and got to improve my presentation qualities, from which I still benefit in my current job(s). I look positively back on writing my master’s thesis as well. The fact that I couldn’t find a job immediately after graduation, was mostly my own fault. I’m not that good at planning ahead. Despite the fact I didn’t find a job immediately, I have never regretted my master at Erasmus University.”
