On Wednesday October 19, 2016, the Working group Biography (Werkgroep Biografie) of the Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde and the editorial staff of the Journal of Biography (Tijdschrift voor Biografie) will organise the congress 'Rewriting Biography. The past (long) 25 years'. This congress is held as part of the 250th anniversary of the Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde. During the congress, international speakers such as Thomas Etzemüller, Yvonne Hirdman, Elisabeth Leijnse and Elisabeth Lockhorn will discuss recent experiments and new approaches in the writing of biographies. In addition, attendees will be able to attend a masterclass and a poster presentation market.
