PhD student Stephanie Benzaquen has received a grant fron Erasmus Trustfonds for a research trip to Cambodia in September 2014. Benzaquen will visit three cities in Cambodia - Phnom Penh, Battambang, and Siem Reap - to conduct research on the cultural memory of Khmer Rouge atrocities. The objectives of her fieldwork are: to do research in local and national archives and resource centers; to conduct interviews with interlocutors of different backgrounds (non-governmental organizations, state institutions, artists, and educators) and to collect visual documentation.
