Laurie Slegtenhorst will present a paper on her PhD research on popular culture and World War II in the Netherlands in international perspective. Her resarch focuses on how popular culture in the Netherlands (Dutch and foreign novels, movies, re-enactments, social media, comics, games and websites) and the memory of the Second World War relate to each other.
