December was filled with all kinds of festive moments. We hope that you survived your exams and that you were able to celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve with your loved ones. FAECTOR wishes you a great 2018; let's make it a good one!
On 1 December, the annual Best Econometric Thesis Award (βETA) took place. In collaboration with Veneficus, the event was a great success! We want to thank all the participants for contributing to the event and we'd like to congratulate the winner: Hugo Reichardt! We also want to congratulate the winner of the Audience Award: Rolf van Lieshout!
Also, the first Committee Interest Drink for the committees that open up in January took place at Eetcafé Concordia. Did you miss the drink? And are you interested in joining the Econometric Career Days (ECD) Committee, Estimator Committee, Event Committee, FAECTOR Research Project (FRP) Committee or IT Committee? Make sure to be present at the second Committee Interest Drink on 16 January. We will first have a short presentation about the various committees in the Theil (C) building and afterwards you have the chance to ask us any questions that you might have at the Erasmus Paviljoen. Are you a Master student and looking for your thesis internship? Mark 17 January in your agenda, because Find Your Match (FYM) will then take place. Find Your Match is FAECTOR’s yearly speed date event for Master students to find their thesis internship. During this event, sixteen companies come to the Faculty Club looking for new interns and starters. This year’s edition will start around 14:00 in the Faculty Club and you can sign up here. Please note that the subscription deadline is on 13 January!
Are you a woman and interested in strategy consultancy? Be sure to check out the ICansultancy event the Women Consultancy & Leadership Day! Together with FSR and In Duplo, FAECTOR organises this event, where you get the chance to meet the prestigious strategy consultants BCG, Bain & Company, Strategy&, and Roland Berger.
