Blog post Diana - Sunny days, happy days
In case you were wondering what the big shiny ball from the sky is, it’s a celebrity that very seldom appears in the Netherlands and it is popularly called “the sun”.
Once with its appearance, there are a lot of changes going on: people are happy, they smile more, everybody is outside, enjoying the warm temperatures and the overall vibe in Rotterdam is just amazing!
This past week we all enjoyed the sunshine and the warm breeze how we knew best, but I’m here to help you with some ideas for fun things to do in Rotterdam (and not only) while the sun is still shining.
If you want to have some fun, where else to go than to the Fun Fair! If you miss the adrenaline that a rollercoaster gives you or just want to spend a day in a different way, don’t miss it! It is open from 14:00h until 23:00h and it is available only for a limited time! Check the link underneath for more information!
If you want a more relaxing day, I would recommend going to The Hague to the beach in Scheveningen or just laying in the sun at Kralingse Bos by the water! Now that the sun is out there are a lot of activities happening in both places (parties, bonfires, barbeques, fitness or yoga lessons)
For a more international day in the sun, don’t forget that Belgium is just around the corner! The transportation towards Brussel, Ghent, Bruges or Antwerp is surprisingly cheap if you decide to travel via Flixbus (around 11 euros one way). The cities are amazing and are definitely worth seeing at least once! I am already planning my second trip in Belgium because one time was not enough so I am strongly recommending to just go on their website and book your tickets there!
Enjoy the sun as much as you can! Rain will take over again and very soon unfortunately, so spend make the most out of now!
