Nicky Papilaja
IBCoM student

“Hey everyone! My name is Nicky and I’m a second year IBCoM student and first year Philosophy student. Exactly one year ago I started my first year in the IBCoM program. I choose to be part of this program because of the many opportunities it offers their students. The IBCoM environment (teachers, staff, peers) constantly motivate and push you to improve, develop, and discover yourself in many different levels. Within the program, you can pick whatever direction you would like to go in, and you’re free to pursue your own interests. Not only does this make the program very flexible, it also allows for some creativity.”

Rotterdam: vibrant, ambitious, modern, and beautiful

“If this doesn’t sound like music to your ears yet (which I wouldn’t understand), then consider the city of Rotterdam for a moment! Similar to the Erasmus University and the IBCoM program, Rotterdam is a vibrant, ambitious, modern, and beautiful city. It has so much to offer to people like you and I, that you will never get tired of exploring and venturing the city.”

Combining uni and extra-curricular work

“When it comes to the actual studying part of studying (please keep reading) your first year in IBCoM definitely won’t be a mission impossible! All the materials are presented to you in such a way that it is very realistic to keep up good grades, while at the same time doing your own thing outside of the EUR. For this reason, I decided to do some extra curricular activities in my first year, and also keep up a side job. Here at the Erasmus University, in the IBCoM program, you will be able to follow your dreams, develop your talents and skills, and bloom into a person that you thought you could never be.”
