Personal Leadership Programme

Current facets (Pre-Master)

Each year, about 50 honours students participate in the Personal Leadership Programme. This programme is organised especially for EUR honours students and aims to provide you with a solid basis for personal leadership.

The programme is lead by Glenn Weisz from Canitiem. Glenn is a professional trainer in the field of leadership development, and provides honours students at the Technical University in Delft with a personal leadership module as part of their honours education. Glenn has already been a guest at the honours class of the Erasmus School of Economics, and with great success.

The Personal Leadership Programme for 2018 will consist of six sessions, each covering a different theme. This includes components of introspection, but also theory and practice on communication and professional presentation. Attendance is required for at least 5 out of 6 sessions if you want to participate in this programme and receive the official PLP certificate.

The sessions will cover the following topics:

1. Core Values

In this session you will work to discover your own core values. This means that you will find out a bit more about who you are and what drives you, which provides a basis for personal leadership in general: knowing who you are and what you stand for determines your every choice.

2. Belief Systems

This session will be about our implicit beliefs and how they affect our decision making. This can be in positive and negative ways, and this session will make you aware of belief systems, both in yourself and in others, so as to be able to make use of them.

3. Passions

In this session will focus on finding out your passions. Beome aware what gives you energy and what costs you energy.

4. Non-verbal Communication

During this session you will learn about non-verbal communication: what certain non-verbals mean, how it comes across, and how to effectively make use of your body to get your message across. Getting your message across is key in personal leadership, and non-verbal communication is a large determining factor in its successfulness.

5. Stress Quality and Management

During this session is about using your qualities to have impact. But what are your qualities, and how to use them effectively? How to make sure that you remain balanced when using your qualities, without falling into the trap of wanting to do too much at once and becoming stressed or even worse.

6. Mission Statement and Goalsetting

What do you want your legacy to be? Become aware of your purpose in life to give you direction in all decisions you will take in your life.
