Prof.dr. Stefan Stremersch

  • Stefan Stremersch is a prominent scientist in his field. After gaining two cum laude degrees, in 2001 Stremersch started at ERIM (Erasmus Research Institute of Management) as a postdoctoral fellow. In 2004, he was appointed Professor of Marketing at Erasmus School of Economics. His research focuses on marketing and innovation, the diffusion of innovation, the marketing of technology and science, marketing strategy and pharmaceutical marketing. Professor Stremersch’s particular forte is combining marketing with business strategy. He is a regular publisher in leading marketing and management journals like the International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science and Management Science. From 2006 to 2009, he served as an editor of the International Journal of Research in Marketing.

Prof.dr. Ale Smidts

  • Ale Smidts is a professor of marketing research and chair of the Department of Marketing Management, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).

    Professor Smidts is director of RSM's Erasmus Center for Neuroeconomics. He is the former scientific director of ERIM (2004-2011) and the former dean of RSM Research. He is a board member of the Social Science Division (MAGW/NWO) of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) since 2012. Since 2015 he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Neuromarketing Science and Business Association (NMSBA).

    Professor Smidts current research focus is decision neuroscience and neuromarketing, including the neural processes underlying consumer decision making and social influence. His research involves collaboration with neuroimaging specialists from the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour at Radboud University in Nijmegen.
