Profile
Charlotte Dwyer works at the Humanities Studies department. She is a lecturer Visual Culture, specialized in Aesthetics & Politics. Currently, she teaches Analysing Film and New Media & Society at the EUC.
Her dissertation focusses on the relationship between Fashion, Media and Trauma, where she combines (audio)Visual Culture with Memory Studies in a philosophical investigation into the power of the image. It is precisely this interdisciplinarity between Media Studies, Social Studies, and Philosophy that led her to the Liberal Arts & Science program of the EUC.
As avid magazine collector and serial watcher, however critical, she is interested in everything fashion and film related, so don't hesitate to contact her if you want to strengthen her archiving abilities.
Previously, Charlotte has worked at the University of Amsterdam, Utrecht University and the Amsterdam Fashion Institute.
