Hanna de Vries is a PhD candidate for the LIPSE research project at the Department of Sociology at Erasmus University Rotterdam and is member of the PhD council of the Graduate School.
LIPSE or ''Learning from Innovation in Public Sector Environments'' is a research project studying the drivers and barriers of successful social innovation in the public sector. With a budget of 2.5 million Euros - funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union - it is one of the largest projects on social innovation in the public sector.
De Vries joined the LIPSE project in 2013. Aside from her research, she assists in financial matters regarding the LIPSE project. She obtained her Master’s degree in Public Administration (cum laude) from the University of Leiden and she holds a Bachelor’s degree from the VU University Amsterdam.
