Marije Faber is a research assistant at the Department of Sociology of the Eramus University of Rotterdam. 

Marije Faber (MSc) studied Sociology at the Radboud University Nijmegen. In 2012 she received her Master’s degree in Grootstedelijke Vraagstukken en Beleid (Urban Problems and Policy) at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Her master thesis was about the relationship between integration, transnational practices and return intentions of CEE labour migrants in the Netherlands.

Marije is currently working as a research assistant at the Department of Sociology of the Eramus University of Rotterdam, and is part of the research group ‘Citizenship, Migration and the City’ (CIMIC). She is specialised in the implementation of quantitative research, especially in the field of migration and citizenship studies.

Currently, she is involved in the project IMAGINATION, which focuses on the urban implications and local governance of Central and Eastern-European (CEE) migration.
