Erasmus University Rotterdam endorses the principles of the European Charter for researchers and European Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers.

Based on this improvement plan the European Commission awarded Erasmus University Rotterdam the HR Excellence in Research Logo in December 2014:
The EUR is delighted with the recognition afforded it by the European Commission and, in the coming years, will execute the improvement plan. The execution of the actions will take the form of various projects involving cooperation with and between the faculties.
