JOB DESCRIPTION

As Administrator digital collection you are responsible for arranging and guarding the access to all resources that our digital collection consists of. You process new orders, make online resources available, and solve accessibility problems. You maintain the knowledge base in which all collections are managed and create reports upon request or on your own initiative. With all of this you maintain good contact with publishers, colleagues and users.

You are customer friendly, service oriented, flexible, have good analytical skills, and are accurate. You are good at Excel.

This position is embedded within the department of Digital Resource Management (15 persons). The department of Digital Resource Management is responsible for managing all systems and applications for which the library operates as system owner. The department provides knowledge and capacity on IT development to the other departments and projects. When new systems need to be procured, the department helps providing requirements.

You are part of a team of in total 4 colleagues who work closely together and divided the workload amongst each other.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A higher education background;
  • Knowledge about the library world and workflows is convenient;
  • You have strong communication skills, are curious and enjoy helping others;
  • You are analytical, handle your work with care, and you oversee the progress of your work;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language (at least B2-level).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

We offer you an internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with excellent working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU).

The start date of this position is as soon as possible and you will be based in the University Library. This position is for 0,6 fte. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 3.072 to a maximum of € 4.103 gross per month (Scale 8) on a fulltime basis (38 hours), in accordance with the CAO-NU. The contract is entered into for the duration of 1 year and can be converted into a permanent contract if performance is good and the organizational circumstances remain unchanged.

At the University Library around 80 employees work together in an an open culture in which  collaboration, trust and taking responsibility are important. The Library is the content manager of the University and helps researchers and students to create and spread knowledge.
