Sadly Martin Fase has passed away on 21 October 2023.
Martin Fase was extraordinary professor of statistics at Erasmus University Rotterdam in the 1980s. Next to this Martin Fase had a very prominent career at the Dutch Central Bank(DNB) where he started the department for scientific research and econometrics(WEO), which he led until his retirement. During his career Fase also held several other positions, such as being part of the Social Economic Council(SER) as representative of DNB.
