The most appealing aspect of this course to me was its project and career-oriented approach. The fact that you do international study trips was an additional motivation. The curriculum is very interesting and the professors are truly involved and passionate. It is, undoubtedly, an intense course at least in the first two blocks with readings, project assignments, and exams.

It was my first time writing an international Master's thesis and it was indeed a difficult yet rewarding experience. It seemed daunting at the start but thesis circles and amazing supervision by the professors made it easier and proved to be a great learning experience.

The course teaches you to stay updated with current affairs and encourages you to read and read some more. The group assignments enabled us to think fast and differently and proved instrumental in forging some great friendships. The cohort was truly international and that made the whole learning experience inclusive and enjoyable. I had a great time pursuing this course!

What I appreciate the most about the IMP master is that it is very career-oriented.

My main motivation behind choosing the International Public Management and Policy (IMP) master was that I really wanted to have the combination of public policy and public management. I believe it is crucial that you are not only able to analyse the policies, but that you also know how you should actually implement them. Hence, the combination was important to me, and I could only find it at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Additionally, I wanted to focus on international politics and institutions, so that made this master a perfect fit!

Since I started this master, there are now so many other factors which I would add to the list: With students coming from all over the world, you get to discuss political problems and events with students from different countries, which makes it much more exciting to exchange and challenge personal and theoretical views. What I appreciate the most about the IMP master is that it is very career-oriented. The courses will teach you not only how you can apply the theories not only in research, but also in work later. Meetings with alumni help to prepare next steps and you will get tips on how to enter the job market. The interdisciplinary structure of the master will prepare you for numerous career paths, such as working in a NGO, think tank, embassy, or consultancy.

Being a small mater programme with about 40 students, lectures are always interactive and personal. The professors go beyond in teaching and are always approachable if you have any problems. The master has surpassed my expectations and I can recommend it fully!
